OM is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics. They then bring their solutions to competitions (which start in March).
Student teams consist of 5-7 members (same gender or mixed) in grades 2-5. Teams typically meet once or twice a week at a mutually agreeable time.
Camp Read-a-Lot is a fun-filled day of reading that encourages a love of books. Students bring their sleeping bags and pillows to school and spend the day curled up with their favorite books. Parent volunteers and some of our favorite book characters read to the younger classes. Each class and their book buddies find ways to celebrate reading.
