Teneika Punch
I'm a Houston native. I grew up in a large family and am the eldest of 7 kids. I attended high school in Fort Bend and then went on to get my bachelors in education from University of Houston. I thank God I came to teach at Roberts right after college and this year will make my 5th year of teaching. I am currently working on my masters in educational technology leadership at Lamar University online. In my spare time, I like to go to the movies or the gym. I look forward to having two children one day, a boy and a girl, in that order (fingers crossed). My favorite part of being a Kindergarten teacher is seeing how much the students grow during the year. My goal for this year is to help students develop strong inquiry skills.
Julie Warner

I feel so blessed to be here at Roberts Elementary!

I have been the school nurse at Roberts since 1989. My educational preparation includes a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing and a Masters of Science degree in Health Education. I became a school nurse because I am a health promoter; I believe that prevention and wellness are two of the most important health lessons that young people can learn. My hobbies include gardening and challenging myself to learn new things. This summer, I took a couple of sewing classes and learned to can tomatoes from my vegetable garden. I have one adult daughter and a little pet dog named Lola. Promoting good hand and respiratory hygiene are two of my many health and safety goals for this school year. So wash your hand often, with soap and water, and always cover your coughs and sneezes! Please visit my blog at http://sfelder1-nursesnotes.blogspot.com for more information.

I use a wide variety of ways teach the components of music to elementary students. The piano is the instrument I love to play, and recorder is second in line. Daisy, my 15 year old Umbrella Cockatoo, comes to the music room with me. I love large parrots and have 5 parrots at home. I also like to paint, do beading, read, work with polymer clay and do needlework. I watch TV to relax. My favorite music to listen to is Mozart piano sonatas and Beethoven Symphonies. I also love the singing harmonies of Simon and Garfunkel, and the jazz music of Louis Armstrong. I am the mother of 3. My daughter Katie is going to be a junior in HS and goes to HSPVA. louisa savarese
Teaching Science last year was amazing! I have to be honest, I was pretty nervous going into it, but I don’t want to be doing anything different this year. When we moved back to Houston from upstate New York last August (just in time for Hurricane Ike) we couldn’t wait to get my sons into Roberts. Ciro is going into 4th and Luca is going into 3rd. My husband, Lou, is still involved with boxing but luckily as a promoter this time around and is also still building homes. When he isn’t busy we like to hang out as a family with our dogs Brady & Bernie. Please visit my blog at http://www.louisasavarese.blogspot.com. Thanks!
